mRNA

  • mRNA (messenger RNA) is

an intermediate that acts in the process of protein production. mRNA contains genetic information that can induce the production of specific proteins in the nucleotide sequences that make up the mRNA molecules.

  • mRNA therapeutics is

also known as the ‘Next Generation Therapeutics’. mRNA therapeutics generate its effects by inducing target protein production by delivering mRNA molecules into cells.

  • mRNA therapeutics technology

has been developed steadily since the first clinical trial in the early 2000s. Upon FDA's emergency use approval of COVID-19 vaccines in late 2020, the era of mRNA therapeutics has begun.

mCureX
Platform

Key components of mRNA therapeutics are ‘mRNA molecules’ that contain genetic information for protein production and ‘delivery molecules’ that deliver mRNAs to target organs.

We have our proprietary mRNA platform technology. The core of the mCureX mRNA platform derives from a modified nucleotide technology that introduces chemical modifications to mRNA. We’ve discovered modified nucleotide with FTO(Freedom-To-Operate) without infringing existing patents.

mRNA vaccines commercialized by Pfizer and Moderna use patent-protected modified nucleotides. In Korea, patents have been registered for mRNA composition containing main modified nucleotides and overcoming this issue is a significant hurdle in the development of mRNA therapeutics.

mCureX has secured mRNA technology that enables effective protein production in cultured cells and animal tissues using differentiated base sequences and modified nucleotides.
